UPCOMING IMPLANT DISCUSSION: Implant services are now commonplace in most dental clinics in North America.
According to Dental Economics research group, approximately 25% of dental clinics place implants and over 80% of dental clinics restore dental implants.
While the number of implants being placed increases, the reported success and survival rates have plateaued, and some large review studies suggested that the success rates have decreased. This is likely due to the increasing number of third-tier implants being placed in large cohorts of patients.
The reality is an implant isn’t just an implant, and we aren’t just plugging holes.
